i am in the navy and am going to put my name down on the list to get my eyes done but i wanted to hear some info from people who got the correctional surgery done. anyone knows some pros and cons of it?

My husband and I both had it done about 10 years ago when we were in our forties. Best thing I ever did. Some notes to think about; shop around but go with a reputable firm (a lot of dr.s were leasing the lasers and did not have the years of experience and qualifications to perform). The procedure I would say is not exactly painful but very uncomfortable. My doctor offered you a sedative if you needed. Overall, it was quick and I could see two blocks away that day where as before I couldn't see the TV. Also, you will still need bifocals eventually but the time in between with no glasses or contacts is heaven! Good luck.
